Hi,
was working on InDesign and a sudden crash lost about a hour job.
Man! been consentrating and forgot the magic key ctrl+S.
Is there anyway to recover the file, usally InDesign ask you if you want to
recover but this time it refuses to ask. I see the recovery data here:
C:\Documents and Settings\User(My name)\Application Data\Adobe\InDesign\Version 3.0J\InDesign Recovery how do you use that?
Any Idea? help needed.

Indesign does a cached autosave. Most times you will find the autosave file in the same folder as the original file with a name containing weird characters, assuming it was saved at least once. You can try opening that oddly named file from within InD.

But now that it's 3 days later...

And now I'm replying back 8 days later, after the project is over.
I had saved my work each time but just didn't saved it for a hour when it crashed, being consentrated.
Just as you mentioned PrintDriver it usally saves a weird character recover data file in the folder that I mentioned in the first post like "DBTmp3632454322 blah-blah" and when it crashes ID reads the data recovery file from there and promp you with a question if you want to recover. Don't know why but maybe a one time bug it did not save a file there that time, well my wrong for not punching that Ctrl+S keyboard constantly.:p
