I always used to rely on the dgl site at dgl.microsoft.com for free shapes, clipart etc, but when I try searching now it just goes back to the menu page. Anyone know if the site has a problem or has changed its terms of use?

Slap your hand...harder...harder...again.
okay now that you've been disciplined...clip art indeed... :p

you could invest I think...20-30 bucks in one of those huge clipart boxes...lik 75k images or something. Find em on staples.com and other office related sites

What Dro said. Clipart...

When I am hog tied into using it - I bought The Big Box of Art - it has plenty of cutesy little images on it, some photos, etc. It works.

I burned my Big Box of Art two years ago and haven't gone back.

Damn clip art! Damn it to HELL!

If the client won't pay for an original illustration, I won't use one...

I know, hands up... Clipart is awful in about 90% of cases because a designer hasn't been involved. We tend to strip them down and then kick start them in Illustrator. But it's how you use it, and unfortunately our in house clients just don't have the budgets to buy illustration work, as it's all local tax payers money!

Yeah I use the big box of art too and it definately is very helpful. I used to try and do all original stuff, but the simple fact is that in this day and age most costumers want fast, great and cheap and I don't have the time or stamina to do all that with original art.

About the price, the 60,000 image box cost me $80.00.
