I'm having problems finding a spot color in a linked image... I have about 25 vendor logos I'm placing in a piece and one of them is using a color distinctly named "dark blue"... But it's a spot color. I need to convert it to process.

Is there any easy way to do this without checking the .ai file for each logo? Since about 15 or more of these logos use blue, I'd rather not search manually.

I am using ID 2, but this is probably the same...

go File > Preflight and then click on the "links and images" tab. That should show you which file uses something other than CMYK.

OR go to your swatches palette, click the triangle flyout menu, and select "ink manager" then click the box that says "all spots to process".

Ah, okay. It's been a few years since I worked pre-press and I forgot how to do it.

Thanks, Morea.
