is there any way, that this object can be saved to the library, or even out as any kind of eps or vector file so it can be re-used without having to be re-drawn programatically?

A screenshot perhaps.... but that's about it. Since createEmptyMovieClip happens at runtime, not author time, it doesn't really exist in an .fla library.

save the file as .fla. Then open the fla document, and copy from first to second. It will work if you use flash mx
