I've attached a jpeg of what I'm talking about below. Anyone, seen this before?

When I open an existing doc the ad is displayed correctly, but when I click on any of the frames (graphic or text) they are offset from the display by about a 1/4 inch.

It happens most often when I open a doc from the desktop. If I close it and reopen from InDesign it usually works fine. Although, my collegue tried this and it didn't work for her.

It sounds like a display issue, but I haven't been able to figure it out.

I appreciate any help.

Thanks!

I think I've had that happen when you have your display performance (under View) set to "high quality display". If you set in your preferences - before you open any file - the Display Performance to default to "Typical", I think that frame offsetting problem will disappear.

Now, as to why exactly that happens, I have no idea...

Thanks, I've set it to high quality in the past. I changed it to Typical awhile back and there are still a few that offset. The files were created before I changed the view setting, so maybe they are holding on to some old data.

Trash your preferences and try again...see what happens.

Ah, the old trash the preferences ploy. I haven't tried that yet for this particular issue. I'm loath to do so because I don't want to redo all my settings.

You can always drag your old prefs back in if the results don't suit you.
