Okay, so here is this other piece im working on at the moment. I drew this like several years ago and a friend at the time inked it. For those of you who are familiar with the Witchblade, then you know what this is.

What i want to ask is take a look at the drapes at the bottom. Notice how on the left there is a section that has a "highlight" on it. I was completely unable to continue using that technique on the remainder of the drapes.

Does anybody have a tip as to what i can do to make highlights that are similar to what i have already done for the drapes? i've tried quite a few things and just cant seem to get it done....thanx :)

might want to try the gradient mesh... Jason posted a really good tutorial today in the "techniques" section of the forum.

What? Just like painting, use different values, different brush styles, sizes opacities, and layer adjustments

you're absolutely correct my friend. I like to re-color stuff. I dont call the artwork mine originally. Just the coloring jobs i do to them. I found with time that doing "copying" work improves abilities and hand eye coordination. Dont worry, i have my own style and such (i color my own stuff too). But i had this drawing laying around and decided that it would make an excellent personal project.
