This is the second site in a week that I have seen that screamed 1980.

Then, I have this client, who also seems to like things that scream 1980... she took the background from a power point screen - black with 4mm thick double lines at the edges as a border - pink fading into black, purple fading into black, and teal fading into black. Ugh.

Anybody else seeing a trend?

Yeah, I don't think its a concious comeback. I think they may just have poor taste. As much as I love the 80's, the last thing I want right now is a webdesign movement based on it.

Well, with the client, I even told her the ad "screamed 1980" but she didn't seem to care until this month, when I said it again (I've been doing this lady's ads for 5 years... yes I am a glutton for punishment, but she pays on time).

So yesterday she says "why didn't you tell me you hated the ad?"

When I say an ad "screams 1980" I'm not saying anything nice!!!

A friend of mine had the lead singer of Man'O'War bless him on his 16th birthdat by pouring a can of beer on him at a show. He's 100% metal.
