Until you answer, I'm keeping my doors locked.

Uhhh... wow.

If someone hurt my dogs, they'd find themselves in a HEAP 'o trouble, but I'd never try to kill them. It would just be... memorable. ;)

Agreed, if someone messed with my little guy, they would be on the receiving end of a very loud megaphone-in-ear situation. Followed up by an arrest, litigation and general misery. That cat in the photo looked super pissed!

well, a knife through your eye will do that to you.

I'd pay a couple of high school kids to kick their arse - that's pretty degrading saying you got beat up by some teenagers.

I mean I've heard, I wouldn't know!

Probably looked like

when it happened.

Thats sad. If someone stabbed my cats, I'd spend the next 50 years torturing them in a basement. :/

Damn! Don't piss off Panda.

Perhaps some local pirates will adopt that cat and they can live as one big happy pirate family.

seriously. Somebody laid a hand on my cats, they would be picking up handfulls of their own teeth.

I had a cat once - one of my rescues - who lost an eye. It was very sad.

The more people I meet, the more I like cats.

Cats are awesome, I will say that.

We just got a new one that is the exact opposite of the older one we have. She has an unlimtied supply of energy it seems. She does not walk, she only runs, and she has some really good hunting/pouncing skills and can cover a great deal of horizontal/vertical jump distance after standing still. Brother found her someplace in South Dakota, I dont' remember the circumstances, but this thing is still wild.

she must be pretty young - I don't think kittens have an "off" switch. :D

The thing is, our older one has always been relaxed and not a spaz, even when she was younger. This one, however, good god! Whenever I get back home from work though, and get on my laptop at my desk, she always hops on my lap and relaxes and purrs like a friggin' 18-wheeler engine. Probably because she's spent most of the day alone. The other one just always wants food when I get home.

it's funny, between my rescue cats and growing up with cats around the house, I've lived with a lot of cats... and it is amazing how different their personalities can be.

I have one who must have taken a nasty bump to his head when he was little or something, because he gets "lost" in the house and will just sit down and cry until you call him... once he finds you, he's all happy again.

OMG that poor little kitty.

This reminded me of a story from my childhood, it began with this story:

Three little kittens,

They lost their mittens,

And they began to cry,

Oh mother dear,

We sadly fear,

That we have lost our mittens.

What! Lost your mittens,

You naughty kittens!

Then you shall have no pie.

Mee-ow, mee-ow, mee-ow,

No, you shall have no pie.

At which point in the story, my 3 year old self would get a look of horror on her face and say to my mother, "WHAT!?????? NO PIE?!!!!!!!!!!!!!???????"

A couple of weeks ago I brought our oldest kitty "Kitty" (how original) into a the vet clinic in town. Not her usual vet. She was the oldest cat they have ever had in their office. She is 22.

My neighbor kept letting his dog run loose and it would always crap on my patio. I know it was his dog because I saw the dog do it once. This is a yellow lab so enough said about the amount left behind. I got mad at the dog at first but after realizing my neighbor was really to blame I just started picking up the crap on a shovel and catapulting it over the hedges onto his deck. The offenses soon stopped.
