What is your price range? and btw I wouldnt buy from tigerdirect.com there are far cheaper places to get hardware from like newegg.com (3-day delivery)

I didn't really establish a price range...but I guess up to $300.

If you can squeeze out a few extra bucks, I'd recommend the X2 over the standard Athlon. Gotta love those dual core chips...
As for the motherboard, I don't have any experience with Gigabyte. Anyone?

this is my only problem with that board:
Socket 754
Try to stay with a Socket 939 board
the 754's went out like a small candle.

Good point. I missed that when I scanned the board specs.
You'll definitely want a 939 board (have they released the 940s yet? too lazy to check).
