I love the artist Tara McPherson and the finish on her work astounds me - i can't make out if it's vector or actual paint - anyone else know?

She was featured as a top illustrator in the last issue of STEP. Her work at http://www.stepinsidedesign.com/STEPMagazine/Article/28570 was done with Acrylic and Oil on Birch.

There are a couple other illustrations featured in the print version of the article, including "The Witching 5" A cover for DC Vertigo Comics which is also Acrylic on birch.

It could be photoshop also but I am not sure. Pretty cool though, I like her style especially those eyes.
