Invalid attachment

i keep getting "Invalid attachment" when trying to attach file to a thread....why? have tried attaching in various formats :(

can anyone offer any advice

arrrrgh. there's the attachment form the last try popping up!!!!!!! sorry to waste time here....

someone please tell me what size to save the bloody jpeg at to attach!!!!

My best recommendation is to signup over at The Creative Forum and then you can upload it to your gallery there. It will then give you a tagged line that you just copy and paste into your post.

Once you register you can post photos. There is an upload options in the top right corner below the header ads and just above the photos that allows you to upload it. Once you select that you will see options for which galleries you want to post it in. The first one will default to the member gallery. We recommend you change that to Graphic Design Forum Gallery. That way it shows up under the recent posts in GDF. Once you upload it you will get a screen that wants you to name the file, give it a description and put in keywords to search for that picture for later. After you do that you will find the next screen. It will tell you it's been uploaded and then all you need to do is go to "My Gallery." You can find a link to it on the left side just below the header and ads. You just find the picture you uploaded then and click on it. Once you go there you will find the tagged part to copy and paste below the description with the tags &. This seems more complicated than it really is. It's just a matter of knowing where the links are.

They proboly did it this way. You can post by attaching but you are much more limited as far as size and that one you have there will be much better if its done thorugh the Creative Forum.

yeah, there are a lot of size restrictions on attachments. It's usually easier to just host it elsewhere. TCF and imageshack are both good, or you can register for free at www.photobucket.com

morea, just registered at photobucket, easy peasy, can you confirm how to paste the tag into this forum so you guys can see my attachment........cheers
