Not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, feel free to move it.

Oooookay... what is the best file recovery software for Mac (Panther)?

The program that collects my time-tracking data coughed up a fur ball and lost it's data from November 21 forward. I no longer have a list of jobs I was working on nor the time I'd spent on them....so I don't know who or what to invoice....

The company who designed the software has tried to recover it from the file that I do have, without luck.

They tell me that it *could* exist somewhere on the HD, and that I *might* be able to recover a version of it that is not so old...

So... suggestions appreciated, and a million blessings if you can help me to continue to live indoors... I like living indoors...

Recovering, even from a forgiving OS like Apple's, is usually a daunting task at best. I've been in the situation you are in with other files and to be honest, I have yet to recover anything. Sorry to hear about something so critical. Have you checked Apple's forums for possible solutions? Sometimes they are helpful, other times...
