A books publishing house wants to make a good adv leaflet with all its latest published books. Can anyone show me (another job he has seen perhaps?) of an artistic way to shoot those books and present them in the layout? There are two options i guess, take photos of the books (but how do i set them?) or make 3d models of them since i have access their covers (but i wouldnt like that too mutch cause it will look a litle fake/computerised - or is there a way not to?).
If u can show me rather than describe it would be cool. Thats as far as i can go...
help!

I think just straight on, just the cover is sufficient. What else does someone need to know?
The only time you want to do it different is if the book is oversized or thick, then using an angle that shows the spine might help like Amazon did here

Thanx thats definatelly a way yes.
In my case most books do not have hard covers so they bend when placed like the star wars book, Might there be a different form of doing this? I have the digital files of every cover and spine and back, perhaps build a 3d book and place the cover etc. But i have no idea what it will look like, must be realistic i guess but im not good at it. Anyone ever done a similar thing?

yeah.. absolutely no to rendering the books.. that's a serious taboo.. just lie the book on something white. get some nice strong lighting so you don't have to flash. manually white balance your camera on a tripod and take pictures on macro mode with the self timer to set it as focused and as vibration free as possible.
