press operator with a paper stock question...

I run a small offset letterfed press (multigraphs 1450k). a client approached me and asked if I could possibly print on a transparent light plastic stock. I am not sure if I would need special ink, of if I can do this at all... If anyone has ink suggestions or knows what I can do to resolve this problem please let me know....

You mean like a transparancy? People print on those things all the time.

not quite a transparency... a little bit thicker... the press can handle the thickness I just wasnt sure if the ink would stay or just rub off as soon as it were printed... I know people use UV plastic presses usually...

Maybe check with the press manfacturer and the people you purchase paper and ink from.
