Hi all :-)

I'm new here and hope I'm right. Does anyone know how the designer did the blue waves? Is there any software maybe?

It looks like algorithmic art. Do a google. I hate the stuff. Put in numbers out comes...well..."art"...I guess. But then, some people think Math is fun too.
LOL.

cli·ché also cliche (klē-shā')
n.
A trite or overused expression or idea: “Even while the phrase was degenerating to cliché in ordinary public use . . . scholars were giving it increasing attention” (Anthony Brandt).

3D package probably.

Guidelines:

1. Dont do this

2. If you break guideline number 1 then make sure you really needed to.

i was going to try and explain it, using illustrator, a gradient, and the mesh tool...but i figured why do all the explaining when someone else has probably done the work.... enjoy!!

with the complexity of the "folds" and how a mesh is mapped onto them, it was definitely done using Math software or some 3d modeling software.

There's a program called Genuine Fractals (i believe that's right!?!), you could try that... It looks like the sort of thing it generates; only ever tried it once though, so don't quote me. :P

Yeah, count me with the Naysayers, That would take days to make in Illustrator working around the clock.

A few minutes with this.
