I too find this plausible and a bit ridiculous and then plausible. It does look ALOT like the MS packaging.

Nice. You know, Microsoft is laughing this off with the rest of us, but you know this thing was put together by a couple of smart ass designers tired of getting art direction from a bunch of non-design execs. I am sure someone got fired for this. Viva la revolution!
