Reuber's poll and discussion reminded me of this.
Last weekend I was at a local bar/club in downtown minneapolis for my younger sisters friends 21st birthday party. We got there before the place was too crazy so people were just sitting on the couches and talking.
You know how you kind of give the room a once over to see what's going on? Well I did that and as I was turning my head back I unintentionally made eye contact with a gal across the room. I paused awkwardly, she gave me a smirk and shook her head (as if to say "don't even think about it"). I finished turning my head back and started to realize what had just happened. It was a good story to tell my friends as we hopped the train back home.

Being from MN myself,...I'm shocked. I can't imagine doing that to someone. I've turned down guys before, but I definately wouldn't do it in a way that was disrespectful or insulting like that.

to me dating is a science; it is somthing that looks hard and if i try im probably doing it wrong. According to dating gurus you need to think of dating as an art; as long as your enjoying yourself it doesn't really matter about the end result, but its probably going to be better anyway.
You should have had a bit of fun with her, then you win either way: you either freak people out and have a good old laugh with your mates, or you score. Its like poker; if you're not enjoying yourself don't play, because you will lose and, you have to go hard or go home. I liken your situation to going all in with a 7 and 2 offsuit. You're probably going to lose, but you could get lucky and pull off the jackpot. Its funny anyway because you can laugh about it.

Playing hard to get is the single woman's favorite pasttime. It's even worse when a girl is hot and she knows it. Sometimes you got to put away your nice guy smile, put on your bad boy hat and get your mack on.
I once knew a girl from Apple Valley, MN. Hot but definitely had a 'tude.

This type of person has an inflated ego who thinks by shaking their head no or yes has control over others. As though everyone around them exists for their personal pleasure. The best way to get their attention is to ignore them.
