Two parter...
1. I'm gonna need envelopes for either 4x6 cards or 5x7 cards. What are the appropriate envelope sizes? A6 & A7? or is A7 not big enough? or is A6 too big?
2. I'm not going to need them printed, and I would like to match the weight, color and feel to regular old plain brown paper bag paper, but none of my swatchbooks have anything close to that.
Thanks for the help. (Have I mentioned how much I love this forum lately?)

I would say that A7 is way too small, maybe even A6 aswell
A4 is 8.25 x 11.7
A5 is 4.125 x 5.83

Using my handy Envelope guide from our paper rep:
For a 4x6 enclosure an A-6 envelope is indicated (envelope is 4.75 x 6.5 and can fit a maximum card of 4.625 x 6.25)
For a 5x7 enclosure an A-7 will work, but it's a bit tight (envelope is 5.25 x 7.25; max card is 5.125 x 7) if your card is thick or many paneled, tehn go for an A-8

Ignore my first post, I was thinking paper sizes.
FlipFriddle is right, see link

K thanks for the first part of my questions, now time to conquer the second part eh?
i thought about making them, but since I haven't made envelopes before I don't want to risk it with such a short deadline on this project. It doesn't have to be a perfect match, but something close would be great.
As far as the envelope stock goes you have two choices. The most economical choice is find an envelope paper that you like and then match the other items to it. Your second choice is to have your stock converted to envelopes which can be very expensive unless you get a lot of them.

Yah, I only need 125 of them, and I found this, but I'm not sure how much it differs from brown paper grocery bag kind of feel though,

I can't find it in any of my swatchbooks, anybody know which one it's in? I might have missed it so I'll check again tonight.
