To me, the red building is the most unconvincing part. Something about it looks a little too painter-ish.

Wow! That is crazy. Unbelievable stuff. I don't think I could spend that long on a single project. Truly impressive work. I agree about the build though. It just seemed off but after all that work, how can I even say that without feeling horrible about it. LOL! Pretty cool how realistic it looks.

i'd always wondered if there was someone crazy enough to do somthing like this. One has to wonder why this guy doesn't buy a 3D package and save himself a couple of thousand hours.

If you live in the Northeast, that brick building doesn't appear fake.
3D isn't the answer here. It's the insanity of working from real images to make an absolutely no-depth-of-field image. This would be cooler if you could scope through it like those infinity loops you find online.

I think its the perspective of the building, not the actual appearance.

KInd of reminds me of that star guitar chemical brother's video... talk about photorealistic. Trains ans stations must be a good target for photorealism, perhaps it's the light and shadow.

I guess I just don't have a problem with a building with this footprint. Though I will admit, usually they have windows on the flattened corner...

my attention span isn't that long...I would have given up at about 150...

I knew that was Bert's work when I first saw it (I had an inkling when I read the title of this thread!). He referred to this piece as a work in progress at last year's MacDesign conference in Tampa, and I've been waiting to see it ever since. This guy's amazing and he never disappoints!

I guess there is a reason why Bert is one of the true masters of Photoshop.
