since early this morning i've had this robin jump from a tree branch to my kitchen window sill...back and forth...non-stop...every time it lands on the sill it bangs it's beak on the glass...that bird is not altogether there and it's driving me absolutely crazy!!!...ideas on how to scare it off?...i can't live like this anymore! :(

He probobly sees his reflection in the window and thinks it is another bird. I beleive it is mating season so I guess you could....well never mind. Do you have a BB gun?

you know, my gardening book talks about keeping birds out of your fruit trees by cutting some shapes out of corrugated cardboard, wrapping them in foil, and hanging them from the tree. When they catch the sun, they are supposed to spook the birds.

Don't know if that would help, but it might be worth a try!

Open the window and scare the hell out of it.

I could send you one of my cats AND my paintball gun... one of those is bound to work.

Have a boombox right near the window and hook up a pressure switch to the glass so that when tapped, it starts playback on the boombox (its gotta be an old school boom box from back in the 80s - the kind kids used to carry around on their shoulders while skateboarding and breakdancing on cardboard). Make sure it plays something like Slayer or Deicide at full volume, robins won't be spooked by Peaches and Herb. To ensure they dont come back use music like New Kids on the Block or William Shatner's version of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.

I've heard if you take a black piece of paper and cutout like a flying bird shape and tape it to the window - it will scare them off. Try it, let me know if it works.

I have a magpie problem in the summers, screeeech screeeech. People love these birds because they're fancy, I detest them. One day I figured out why they're all in MY yard -- my neighbors on both sides spray the water hose on them to scare them off. *sigh*

Put in Bruce Willis' Return of Bruno; that'd do it.

hehe!...he looked me straight in the eye, wagged his bum at me, said something in bird and flew off...the audacity of some creatures!

hung a piece of cardboard in front of the reflection...that seems to have done it...very weird...never had this happen before.

Try a large wad of fly paper ;)
