lmao! Nice.
I actually once mailed a friend a slice of individually wrapped American cheese while he was away at college. I am in NY, and it was winter, so it was around 20°F here and I didn't stop to think that in Georgia, where he was in school it would be much warmer.
Well, by the time he received the envelope, it had run through a postage meter on a warm day and squished the cheese into a flat, greasy paste that started oozing through the envelope. The poem I wrote him was all gooey, and the cheese was non-existant, but he hung it up on the wall anyway. (At that point he probably could have stuck it there without a tack, since it was so slimy.)
Eew.

You asked for it!
All around the country and coast to coast
People always say, "what do you like most?"
I don’t want to brag, I don’t want to boast
I always tell ‘em, "I like toast."
YEAH, TOAST!!
YEAH, TOAST!! I get up in the morning ‘bout six A.M.
Have a little jelly, have a little jam
Take a piece of bread, put it in the slot
Push down the lever and the wires get hot,
I get toast.
YEAH, TOAST!
YEAH, TOAST!
Now, there’s no secret to toasting perfection
There’s a dial on the side and you make your selection
Push to the dark or the light and then
If it pops too soon, press down again
Make toast.
YEAH, TOAST!
YEAH, TOAST!
When the first caveman drove in from the drags
Didn’t know what would go with the bacon and the eggs
Must have met a genius, got it in his head
Plug the toaster in the wall, buy a bag of bread
Make toast.
YEAH, TOAST!
YEAH, TOAST!
Oui Monsieur, bonjour coquette,
Une croissant? Et vous auvent?
Maurice Chevalier, Eiffel Tower,
Oui Marie, baguette, bonsoir!
FRENCH TOAST!
FRENCH TOAST!
TOAST!!
EDIT: This song is sung properly while drumming on a toaster and the chorus (Toast, yeah, toast is screamed at top volume)

Ladies and gentleman; the man song.
He’s the man. He’s the man.
I don’t take no crap from anybody,
else but you.
I wear the pants around here,
when I finish with your laundry.
Cos I’m a guy you don’t wanna fight,
When I say jump you say yeah right.
I’m the man of this house,
until you get home
He’s the man. He’s the man.
When I say goes around here,
Right out the window.
And I don’t wanna hear alotta whining,
So I’ll shut up.
The sooner you learn who’s boss around here,
The sooner you can give me my orders, dear.
Cos I’m head hunter around here,
But it’s all in my head.
He’s the man. He’s the man.
And I can have sex anytime,
that you want.
Cos I’m a man who has needs,
that are not that important.
And don’t expect any flowers from me,
cos if I’m not mistaken, you prefer to read.
I’m the king of my castle,
when you’re not around.
He’s the man. He’s the man.
And I’ll drink and watch sports,
whenever I wanna get in trouble.
And I’ll come home, when I’m good and ready,
To sleep on the couch.
Cos a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do,
and I’m gonna do what yu tell me to.
Because I’m top dog around here,
but ive been noodled.
He’s the man. He’s the man!
You the man.

Just watched Silent Hill last night...could've been better, but IMO the best game to movie ever. Radha Mitchell was spot on as usual (she's very underrated), Sean Bean was decent, but most of the other actors weren't that great. But, although this seems to be another one of those "creepy kid" type horror movies, there was a lot of disturbing stuff and some pretty gory parts (esp one with that dude with the huge helmet and sword). All in all it was decent for a horror flick, but I didn't like it as much as Hostel or Wolf Creek.

Does affect the pay really, but I suppose if I came in at 9 I'd have been staying till 8 anyway - so they probably just don't want to pay me for overtime (since I'm on contract). Oh, geez. I can handle phone call sthan I can the boredom of this job. I have dealt with a touch of your job though. I worked 3rd shift in a pharmacy and they decided to expand a diff. location to 24 hour and the first night I got a call cause they had nno clue how to operate the photolab. I was like "you've got to be kidding". The pharmacist who was there knew me from working with me at my location so she told them to ask for me. (thanks) and they were MORONS! They had the exact same machine but were telling me certain buttons didn't exist and all this crap. I got lucky and had the option of having them put the pharmacist on hte phone. 5 minutes later what had taken over an hour to get no where was working. So annoying. Cornholing asshats. Pancaking wankers. Ok, I just wanted to do that!

After working 6 christmas seasons in retail, I welcome boredom. I prefer to have a lot of projects to work on to keep me busy, but keep me away from the phone! Somedays we are slaughtered with calls and you get NOTHING done, unlike today where I have nothing to do. That, and most of these business owners or managers I speak with are worse than typical retail customers.

Yeah. They're morons. I hate explaining things to the big boss here. He's an idiot.

*yawn* it's pretty cold here this morning - only 37 degrees!
I thought about setting something on fire to warm the house up, since oil and gas cost so much.

Probably a good idea. It's a whopping 47 here.
 I thought your post said starting a fire...like in the fireplace. Man, I need to wake up!
