Ooh, nice. A coworker told me about these, but I hadnt seen them yet.

Wow, starting price.... $12k?? Yikes. Be sure to check the video on that page to see them in action.

I saw these a little while ago (I believe on digg), I wonder if they'll catch on? They are kind of out there (and very expensive) Pretty interesting idea though!

Those fit with the lights under the car. You would probably get in trouble for having them. (Distraction to other drivers)

I think I can find other things to spend $12,500 on.

A few years ago there was a tire company that painted the sidewalls of tires to match your car's color. I predict this will be as successful as the colored tires were. Maybe even less so, considering the $$$.

You guys have never seen spinners?

They're around. Usually on the same cars that compensate for small peni.

Freaked me out when I saw a car at a red light and the wheels were still spinning. It's amazing how much you rely on indicators like that on whether a car is still moving.
Not illegal yet.

And they don't work as well at high speed. They do spin eventually so your pretty design becomes a blur.

They also have floaters now too... where they are still while the car is moving (looks like you're floating) and then they spin when you stop - rediculously expensive but if someone gave 'em to me I wouldn't throw them away!

Standard spinners are all over the place. Its the rims with "built-in full color LED lights, microprocessor, and wireless modem" that I've never seen.

soon to be seen in your local rap star's music videos....

Actually, you couldn't even pay me to have a set of them. If you knew me, you'd know I love retro and can't stand all this blingy modern/import cr@p... neon lights and stupid huge exhausts and spoilers (driven by people who know nothing about mechanics, aerodynamics and proper exhaust back pressure)

and as navian said... i could think of a million better things to spend $12,000 on.. like half to the nspcc and half on building a garage in my back garden. :)
