We just got this new printer and I'm trying to figure out how to get it to print. Set it up in system prefs (print & fax) and then in Quark (print styles). Am I missing something?

Any luck yet? We have a 7750GX here at work. If you are printing over a network there is a certain amount of setup you have to do via the front panel on the printer, or via the printer's web interface. Make sure you use the PDF guide provided; it was a big help when I set ours up.

We have a Panasonic laser and it isn't the printer...It's Quark. I swear to gawd there are 5 screens you have to go thru to get all the print parameters set right when going to a networked printer from Quark 6.

Page setup, Printer, and at least the first 3 tabs of the print output menu in Quark. A 6th if you count looking at the preview to make sure the image is even on the paper. LOL.

This may not be much of a help, but I'm trying to shop around for a new printer solution (upgrading from a Xerox 7700, also known as "boat anchor"), and the Xerox rep I talked to said the 7750s are discontinued in favor of something new (I'll make book on the moniker, 7760). Might be for some of the problems you're having, might nopt, but my 50c worth.

And hi! First post from a newbie to the forums.

Yeah there is a lot to check, and they inexplicably revert to defaults some times too. It's not much of a problem if you only have one printer on your network, but add more with different formats, and the fun begins.

^LOL.^ Yep, especially when they all show up as IP numbers with no printer descriptions.
