howdo y'awl...
I'm thinking that i'd like to add a blog to my site but i have no idea where to start...
I've googled plenty for blogging software and sites and am a bit confused. What is best? I'd like to be able to update from any computer and be able to add images. I have no experience in php or sql or anything like that so would need it to be pretty simple but would like the option of making it look a little better than a stock template. Also i don't want any advertising on it.
Does anyone have any recommendations or any advice that could help me settle on a service?
:)

I like WordPress (http://wordpress.org/). Not only is it easy to install, but it validates as xhtml.

r's... my hosting doober doesn't support it... booo :(

well it will support the PHP and the MySQL ... but not the mod_rewrite apache mcfinklesniffer... does it really need that last thing? it says you only need the two (php and mysql) on the requirements page but then tells you to ask your host if they support that last thing?

mcfinklesniffer... lol! How funny!

My web hosting provider had WordPress as an option in their available scripts so I had no problem at all. I also installed it on my home server without a problem, though. I didn't have to make any changes at all. You could always try to install. If it doesn't work, just delete the installation. Sorry I can't offer any better help.

I used blogger.com myself. Of course in the past, and probably in the future, I normally just create custom blogs in a regular scroll area on the site and don't use a service. Either way works. All a blog is is a "what's up with me" part of you site anyway.
