I have this new client that wants me to create a flyer and a magazine advertisement.

The magazine ad or newpaper ad would have to be in PDF format, if I save an adobe photoshop file to a pdf will it save the same way.. Im not to fluent in illustrator thats why I ask

this will require some light re-formats, but nothing major. be sure when you export it from photoshop that you have the options checked to keep each image seperate, and text editable. AND be sure you have the fonts active in acrobat as well.

Make sure your file is 300dpi and cmyk. Flatten it and save as a adobe pdf with the least compression. The pdf will be printable and separations can bemade from it. This isn't the best way to make a pdf though. You really need indesign/quark/illustrator. These programs keep any vector info within them such as text and lineart to achieve a higher quality print especially if it needs enlarging.
