Please check out my latest work on the "FB group", a European construction, piping and fitting company...

They wanted a new Corporate ID, that was direct, no-nonsense, easy to remember, and with a link to intelligent piping constructions...

Please let me know what you think and why...

Thanks & cheers!

I like this sort of design and IMO its fitting for a Construction Co. I would probably develop it a bit further though, maybe try and follow the linear stroke of the 'b' to match the cross stroke of the 'f' to make it look more like pipe joints, still retain the break across the two letter, just give the visual graphic impression

Very nice. I definately like the direction you're going. I agree ^^ that you could try to lower the "b" so the joint matches up with the vertical cross of the "f".

My only suggestion is to loose the gradient. Stick with the solid orange. It looks much better and will cause you less hassle in the end.

Great work.

kinda reminds me of an elephant and I don't know if that's good or bad.

I totally agree with mac.Finn and erichmond, if those two letters connector things lined up it would be even more visually appealing than it already is.

I think it really says pipe/construction, nice work.

Thanks for the quick reply, and the positive feedback!

I've finetuned the logo a bit, please tell me what you think...

That's good, I think it is meant to be abstract, makes you look twice, thought provoking, I guess people will remember it for that company that has a logo that looks like an elephant, that looks like a network of pipes

It loses a bit of its readability now - it could read Fb or Ao or Ab, so it may need the company name on there somewhere.

I definatley read Ab now, but I do like the layout more now, and the connecting pipe idea works better this way.

The only way I can think to fix the Ab issue is this:
In the first logo, the transition at the top of the f and b was a 90 degree cut, in the second one, the letters round off into each other. I'd suggest moving the b a little closer to the f and chaging that rounded transition to a angular one.

Really nice work :D
