Does anyone have experience with the Konica/Minolta brand of copiers/printers?
Have you heard rumors/second hand information on these machines?
A friend of mine is looking at replacing his Xerox Doc12 with a Minolta C500. Personally I think he's crazy but maybe I'm missing something. They want the Minolta to be the workhorse that the Doc12 is but I'm not so sure.
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks

We have a Minolta/Konica BizHub C350 that works pretty well. It is a CMYK printer, and sometimes it doesn't do the jobs in perfect color, but close enough that we use it constantly. It folds, staples, duplexes. Can handle thick paper. Anything we need a volume color printer to do.

We've also been using the Konica/Minolta BizHub C350 here, and are satisfied with it. We had been using a Xerox Doc12, but got a much better lease deal with the BizHub, and comparing the colors from the Doc 12 to the C350 we noticed a definite improvement in color matching on the Biz Hub. We had to do a little tweaking to default settings, of course, but when compared to digital matchprints, it's pretty darned close.
There are some differences in terms of scanning, it doesn't seem to do quite as good a job with that, but we only use the scanner for fpo stuff anyway, so it's been fine. The ability to e-mail PDFs and JPEGs right from the printer panel is also a popular feature here at the office.
