Did this flyer in a relatively short amount of time, for an EDM event. For this particular flyer, I wanted to change it up a bit, and make it pretty different from my previous flyers. I'd like to know if the aesthetics of the typography are good, I'm still on the learning path to getting that down. Does the layout of the info work for you guys?

Appreciate the crits. :)

my only thought would be to change the djs' info and the club info on the front to white (it's a gray-ish color now) as it might be a little muddy when you print.

other than that A+

u know what, i hadn't thought of that... but it's very true. I might just go ahead and change it for printing purposes. thx.

I like it... I agree the white text might look good, but this works for me as is.

The text would look nice White, but it will also alter the hierarchy (sp?) and draw more attention to that text. That's fine if you want to do that, but just thought I'd throw that thought out.

Absolute black would take care of the "muddy" issue, and probably not alter the hierarchy.

on the back, i would angle everything the same. the misc logos in the corner, the $10 cover info, etc... by leveling those few elements, you break up the cohesiveness of the slanted layout.

i think the "filter freq" could be tweaked a little. there are some spots that could align better with the other elements. you have a fairly strong grid system set up, i think you could exploit that more in the typography.

the background images seem to be a distraction, especially when you put it behind the type (like on the front side). but overall, good work! :)

thanks on all the crits. guys, Typographics, I agree with ya. It would have been a better idea to angle the cover info and the logos as well. unfortunately this has already gone to print..but hey, now I'll keep that in mind for the next one! Vtwin, yea the word "Saturday" is a little unaligned on the jpeg for some reason, but it's perfectly oook on the original file ;)

thanks guys.

Great work Ally! Excellence in design is always appreciated, so I hope your clients appreciated it as well.

A lot of this type of piece gets overcrowded and cumbersome, but you kept it sharp and exciting. Good job - pat on the back!
