I think it's cute.

I would make the graphic smaller in reference to the company name, it's far to overpowering. I also think the inside of the flames should more closely follow the contour of the outside of the flames, just my opinion though.

I like it too. Graphic too large for type like Logo said. Why am I feeling like I've seen it before though - or something super similar?

the type is movable and sizable. depending on the medium and size of the medium i place the type elsewhere. on my website, for examplem it is large and to the side, same on my business cards. i am going to redo the inside of the flames eventually, probably the next time i update my site or have new business cards printed.

Cool.

You're going to loose a fair bit of detail when you scale it down though... the inner flames, the mouth, maybe the glasses too. Also to me it looks like a web logo. Which isn't a bad thing, and I'm sure it'd look fine on print, but IMO it looks very "webby"

I like it, the face is cute and serious, not smiling and then with those cute/cool nerdy like glasses - I just kinda like it somehow - and then the flames on the head blowing in one direction- it's good. Just work it some so that you can use it in several sizes.

I really like the look of the flames although I agree with everyone else in that you will definately come it to some problems when shrinking it down. There is something that bothers me for some reason about the width of the line of the head. It draws a lot of attention to it and seems like me like a flaming golf ball or something of that sort. However, I really like the orange/red color you used for the flames!! Have you experimented with trying some different mouths for logo...just a suggestion...the straight line appear very stern. I really like the look to it though..good job.

you just made me realize that's what I like so much about it: the stern looking face with the head on fire. . . it just strikes me as funny

Because all of the lines are so thick and the mouth isn't it really becomes the focal point of the logo. The expression says a lot.

i think macFINN nailed it. it does look very webby. Websafe palette by any chance?

I like the face imagery a lot - but the flame graphic is a bit over-used and cliche these days. In fact, one of the "logo template" companies was "selling" a very similar flame image that had been ripped off from another designer. Just did a search of "flame" over on the LogoLounge.com site and about 350 logos came up - many with a similar flame treatment. Do a Google search for "flame logo" and you'll see many other examples.

The attached is probably one of the most familiar:
