if you have curved (smooth) edges on the tyres can you apply that to the body of the car.

you could create some quite futuristic concepts.

I don't think the kind of work you are doing is created with manufacturing in mind. I think you would benefit a great deal from using an artistic-oriented 3d application such as Maya, 3dmax, Blender, etc, etc, etc - rather than a CAD application.

Your work is great for inventor - but I think you have a knack for this that would benefit a great deal from another application, due to the fact that Inventor has many more restraints, being considered a CAD application and not a 3d modelling application.

I'm taking my third engineering graphics course right now and we use inventor...I hate that the design department requires VC majors to take this - but oh well. I would understand if we were creating things such as you have above, but instead we are going in-depth into engineering principles of welding, dimensioning, tolerancing, etc. It's one big massive headache after another.

Solidworks is a far superior software to Inventor in every way.

I hated using Inventor. I used the first version, will never use it again.

I agree, 3dsmax, maya ect.. would be a better choice for model making.

BTW if you didnt know, Inventor is the newest version of mechanical desktop.
