Here's an Identity I am working on for a dentistry office. This is the design they chose and really liked. I am going to add color to the C and the D to see how it looks and thought I might get some color swatch ideas from you guys... let me know.

looks nice enough - clean - but what is the purple bit? Also why CD?

Is it jus me, or should someone with the surname Del Rosario not having Colin as a first name?

I'm guessing it's two dentists, one last name Colin, one last name Del Rosario.

As far as colors, I think what you have is nice. I think Blue would be a better choice in stead of purple. Calming. Reds out - no blood/bleeding inuendos needed there. I'd stick with the blues or greens side of the spectrum.

I like it. It looks like what it should be. Dentists logos aren’t exactly the forum for crazy/new/out there ideas so you’ve done the job, and did it well.

A cool blue seems to be the mainstay of dentist identities so I agree with that. I don’t mind the purple though.

i guess your not looking for a critique, since the client has already chosen to adopt it. therefore i wont give unneeded/unwanted criticism. as far as the colors, i would keep the large letters black and allow the purple floss thingy to remain the focal point.

Nice clean look. The purple gives the feeling of a more upscale dentistry.

Lol.. I really enjoy posting things here for the perspective that people give on designs. The name itself is "Colin" (first name) "Del Rosario" (last name). The reason for the C&D party is because most client's thought his middle name was Del so I wanted to use his first and last initals to kind of emphasize that area. The colors I agree with that most cool blues are used for dentists but purple (like Cass) says, gives off a more upscale look since purples where more expensive to use for anything in the Impirial times thus why it had so much stature. THus the reason for purple.

Thanks for all your input and comments. It's always cool to see how others view designs.
