Hey everyone, im new to this community but i guessed this would be a good place to get some profesional advice on a very serious topic.

I have an interview for a college on tuesday for 'Art and Design Digital Media' coarse and i require a portfolio and was looking for some advice whether or not to submit these peices of work.

Keep in mind that this is just an introduction to digital art so not much will be expected.

Thanks in advance for any replies, its much appreciated.

I would say no to the iPod image. The text on the left lacks the proper perspective, and the dark image is missing the tradition iPod elements (the white buds and the pod itself).

My humble 2¢ worth.

no, they are not really appropriate. I suggest you do some solid research before an interview. Digital Media really focuses on your knowledge of manipulation of digital media, including the use of tools of software such as photoshop, but it also assumes you have the basic principals of drawing (including perspective) and basic design principals. If you don't have these, then you're not going anywhere in the course.
