I am pasting my images on my boards and was wondering if its best to put each of your logos on a seperate board or would it be possible to put them all on one board. This is probably a stupid question...I just want more room to put other things that I want to showcase in my portfolio. I have already thought about making a piece that showcases my logos all in one piece except I dont really have time for that. Also, how big should you print them. If you do each logo on a seperate board should you have one big, one small (to show it works in smaller format), and one in black and white? Thanks for the help everyone. Sorry I have so many questions :)

no apologies for question asking. That's what we're here for. ;)

I show each of mine on a separate page in my online portfolio, around 300 - 400 pixel width. In my actual physical portfolio, I give each project its own page, and only include one or two logos (usually around 3" wide), since I do more ads and things like that. I try to show everything in the logo evolution from original sketch to finished piece on one page, along with a brief description of what the client wanted and include both a black and white and color sample of the logo, as well.

I think that everybody does it differently, so just do what makes you comfortable.

There are some helpful links to portfolio building here, just scroll down a bit:

definitely one per board. the final size you print them at should be determained by the size of your boards. also, if you have a color version, use that one. a good designer will be able to recognize if it will work in b/w (and you can simply mention that fact verbally). you should probaby only have a maximum of 3 logo boards. (assuming the number of boards you have is around 10 - 15). if you have more logos you would like to show, make a small book and leave it with the interviewer.

but morea is correct, everyone does it differently. these are just solid suggestions.

For example, here is my leave behind package.

Whenever it turnes out to be a company I have no interest in I simple gather the pieces up and act like I never was going to leave them behind.

I have this whole Industrial thing going on. I just like the look and solid feel of metals and paper.

not having the time could be the problem if you're not willing to make the time. If you are lazy about it- it could show. However, if you approach it as another creative solution you need to solve as a designer.

But don't get me wrong- I am very lazy about my own work too. It is hard to get motivated about advertising yourself. However, if you put in the effort the return is much more likely to happen.

worked for me :)

I have 3 logos on each board, 3 boards of logos so 9 different logos all together i have them all printed to fit on squares and there is 6 squares on each board, black and white logos on the left and then color logos on the right.

on my online portfolio i had them all seperate but not in black and white.
