i'm doing a promo flyer for a friend of mine for his portrait photography work and was wondering what the best size was for the flyer.
i personally want to go for the square shape of 150mm x 150mm and willl have to consult with him obviously as to his preference.
i do have complete control over the flyer so it's not a problem but thought that there are a lot more experienced people here to cast their thoughts.
any ideas everybody?
thanks.

I would personally say to use the size that is most appropriate for the project. If you think the square shape will work best then go for it. Unless it's being used for something specific where size is an issue, I'd say use what you think will work best.

150mm? 6" square?
Is this a postcard?
If so check your postal regulations.

it's not going to be posted. it will be handed out by the client and his staff to various companies.
Like they said, whatever size applies to the project, but I wouldn't go bigger than 7" for a handout.
FYI: Square postcards will not go through the mail unless you put them in an envelope of course.

thanks for that. i'm wanting to go for a nice floral design in the corner and the pattern is symetrical at 45 degrees so i thought that having something other than a square design wouldn't work.
thanks for your advice.
you should post it up when your finished...would like to have a look.
