Does any one know if there's a difference between a "sparkle" varnish and a "glitter" varnish? Are they the same thing?

And if they are different, which version is used with all those lovely American Greetings cards?

I'd really like to use one that doesn't shed the sparkles as much as the cards, but still has the shiney sparkle. I don't know if that's possible though.

Thanks, in advance.

the stuff your reffering too that is on greeting cards isn't a varnish, that's actual glitter glued on.

what are you trying to make? i might be able to point you in a couple good directions...

Trying to do a flyer featuring a glitter product, found http://www.celloglas.com/pfvarnish.html and thought it might be nice to use their sparkle varnish to spot varnish the flyer everywhere there's a photo of the glitter product, for POP appeal.

i would ask for samples before you move forward with it... but it seems like you found a good place to do what you want.

I think they are a printer though, and not the supplier. Haven't been able to fine a supplier, and that printer is in the UK. My boss is going to want to go with a local printer. I was just wondering if there was a difference between this sparkle varnish and the glitter stuff on the cards.
