AARGGGHH - I've just cut ties with one of my clients.

It was an SEO firm, that wanted me to create templates for various clients of theirs. I did a couple, but the pay was poor, and the work took much longer than I estimated (I'm so bad at that), and ate away at a lot of my "free" time

I have a month to get to grips with XAML for a much, much bigger client and start developing UIs for Vista, using Expression Interactive designer, so I couldn't afford the time either, as this could be amassive opportunity.

But, I had budgeted a certain amount of my income coming from this client, and now I'm scared :p

but it was the right decision. I think. I hope.

just need to vent a little.

Thanks for listening

I read your post. I sympathize.

But I am also wondering how the hell can a coder get by with such bad spelling and grammar? Not that I am any kind of expert.

I know, my typing went a bit mad there.

Does anyone else get cramps in their hands later on in the day (about 3ish) or am I getting arthritis???

I definitely feel it when I am working like mad to meet a crazy deadline. My mouse hand starts to get sore and my left elbow hurts from leaning on it while working the command keys.

And if my monitor is not directly in front of my face I’ll get neck cramps.

Does anyone else get cramps in their hands later on in the day (about 3ish) or am I getting arthritis???It's probably not arthritis, but it could be the early stages of carpal tunnel syndrome or repetitive stress injury. If you're experiencing cramps in your hands, make sure that you:

1. Take more frequent short breaks from typing and using the mouse.
2. Get a mouse that fits your hand ergonomically. I chose a mouse that fits my hand perfectly, so I can use it all day without feeling any pain in my mouse hand.
3. Find a good ergonomic keyboard. Also, don't bang on the keys too hard, and make sure that you hold your hands above the keys properly.

Remember, if carpal tunnel syndrome gets too bad, it can require surgery, which sucks.

Edited for grammar.

Don't tense the hands when you type, it's like driving with the emergency brake on. Also is responsible for the damage done by PC use, the majority of the time.

I don't get pains in my wrists - just cramp in my hands. Need to change my habits I guess. I bought an ergonmic mouse yesterday - seem to help
