That's what I'm tempted to say when coworkers, bosses, clients say they need a design now, two hours ago, etc. "Creativity is not a magical moment that just happens. It is a long, often frustrating, intellectual process that needs time to simmer in my subconscious."

I hear ya. You can't just flick a switch and *tada!* instant design idea. Gotta mull it over and mull it over, then mull it over some more. Many times, I'll get the best inspiration in that almost-asleep state when I'm really relaxed.
