I have been offered an Agfa Selectscan but the software is version 1.1. What is the latest version and how can I get it?
I know that the machine was released in the times of MacOS 7 but what is the latest version of the OS that will work with the scanner?

Sounds like OS 10.2.8 was the last of your SCSI interface support.

Thank you for the info but (very frustratingly) the drivers on Agfa's website are only available for their desktop scanners and not for the SelectScan prepress scanners.

I'm an idiot.
But I still think you are limited by the SCSI support up to 10.2.8.
As for a driver update...the only way I've been able to work around my old home scanner not having an OSX driver is to load an older version of Photoshop that runs in Classic and use the scanner in Classic. But I've never tried it with a SCSI device. Only USB. Well...hmmm...I vaguely remember trying my old Polaroid Sprintscan on a G4 with a SCSI card in OSX. It was the card that wasn't supported by OSX (Jaguar at the time).
