[b]Songs:...Not Ready to Make Nice, Dixie Chicks
I am really impressed by that song. my favorite line is
"I made my bed and I sleep like a baby, with no regrets and I don't mind sayin It's a sad sad story when a mother will teach her daughter that she ought to hate a perfect stranger, and how in the world can the words that I said, send somebody so over the edge that they'd write me a letter sayin that i better shut up and sing or my life will be over"
I heard the story behind that and I can't believe that someone would send them death threats, not that they are the smartest or most informed ladies in music but no one deserves death threats for sharing their opinion.
I'm definitely on their side in the battle of country music vs. The Dixie Chicks, though Counry Music (Music Row etc) has always gotten things wrong and been too quick to judge not really knowing what was good for them... and they missed out on a lot of popularity and money because of their snobby self righteous attitudes... Johnny Cash **cough, cough** Shania Twain **cough, cough** and now the Dixie Chicks, it's funny how the people that sell the most records take the longest for country music to come around on.

Thanks for agreeing.
That is a VERY heavy statement, and the passion that she sings it and the music building to a crescendo, what a statement..."Don't you listen to my music and then tell me to shut up or I'll kill ya". It's EXACTLY the point she was making when she got in deep for criticizing George W.

I'm in a 12x12 cell...um, OFFICE, with a U shaped desk along the outside walls. One computer at each of the 4 corners and one in the center of the bottom of the U. Then I just shoot back and forth on my wheeled chair. Add a flatbed scannerr and 3 network hubs, how the heck did I fit family pictures in here?
I AM the digital prepress dept here and process about 20 jobs a day. Gonna overstress someday, I'm sure.
