10... I know this is craaaazzzzzyyyyyy sounding, but do any of you think about colors that associate with numbers??? Im not crazy,, but I swear ever since i was in single digits of age, reading counting books and such, I just seemed to make connections with numbers and colors... like if you were to design a counting book... what colors would you make the numbers??? In my head i picture number 1 to be blue.. number 2 could be red or yellow.. number 3 is a green number.. number 6 is orange... number 8 says purple... weird i know... but do you kinda see what i mean?

Actually, I read somewhere once that the composer Scriabin used to have colors that he associated with notes in relation to the circle of fifths (which was invented or described by the mathematician Pythagoras, I believe), and used to use that when he was composing music.

I think 9 is cool because all of its multiples always add up to 9. Like 9 x 2 = 18. 1 + 8 = 9. Etc. Seems kinda freaky to me.

I thought about buying a french horn so I could play for fun, but they're sure not cheap!

Yeah I also played bassoon and flute, and a brief stint on drums, in high school. I'd love to have a flute again, but not cheap at all! And a bassoon, well, that would be awesome but again, way too expensive, plus the reeds are hard to maintain.

did you ever see the trick where you hold up both your hands in front of you to do your multiplication tables?
9 x 2 = put down 2nd finger from left... count fingers to left = tens, fingers to right = ones, = 18.
It's easier with a visual.

Finger Math: 9X Rule
To multiply by 9,try this:
(1) Spread your two hands out and place them on a desk or table in front of you.
(2) To multiply by 3, fold down the 3rd finger from the left. To multiply by 4, it would be the 4th finger and so on.
(3) the answer is 27 ... READ it from the two fingers on the left of the folded down finger and the 7 fingers on the right of it.
This works for anything up to 9x10!

not my favourite number but along the lines of the number 9 trick (multiples always equal 9)
If a multi-digit number is divisable by three then when you add up the digits it will always equal 3, 6 or 9.
eg 2784 = 2+7+8+4 = 21 = 2+1 = 3
therefor, 2784 is divisable by 3.
Use it wisely.

64...It is the first number (barring 1) expressable both as a square and a cube. 4^3 = 8^2 = 64...Also the product of the first and its square is also 64 4(4^2) = 64
Half of the first number is the exponent that raises the second to 64 4^(6/2) = 64
Half of the second number is the base from which the first raises it to 64 (4/2)^6 = 64
The quotient of the first and second is also the exponent that raises the square of the second to 64 (4^2)^(6/4) = 64
The integer exponents that can raise an integer to 64 are 1,2,3, and 6...the latter being the product and sum of the first 3 64^1 = 8^2 = 4^3 = 2^6 = 64.
Also the number of squares on the board of one of the finest games ever invented...chess!

by three. Example: 825 8+2+5=15 825/3=275. My world is one of
