Illustrator to Photoshop

Is there a way to open a illustrator file in photoshop with layers. I know I can open a layered photoshop file in illustrator, but what about the other way?

I don't think so, but my first question is why?
You CAN copy and paste paths from Illy to Pshop layers

yes you can...use the export option in Illustrator and choose photoshop as the *save as type* option

Well i started in illustrator and now need it to be in photoshop. and just didnt want to have to redo it. Its not really a big deal, I was just looking for the easy way out. i should not have started it in illustrator to begin with.

The cool thing is that CS2 lets you preserve text editability.

I would be really peessd if files weren't transferrable, lemme tellya! I use it all the time. In fact, I think that these packaged-together-always-in-love apps should be able to have sex and lots of babies. I call.
