No, that's too far south of me, I'm afraid. It's from one of the Rays here on the west side.

Most of the time, pizza = good, so no worries my friend. Thanks for the slices!

Maybe when I'm in New York visiting next week, I can drag you down to John's though. It's well worth the trip.

Thanks for the congratulations, Reuber. This place is like my second home right now. :D

I think we're gonna try and meet up with you and your clan...

For some disturbing reason, the theme from Dueling Banjos comes to mind at the mention of the word clan. :D

But yeah, a meetup sounds like fun. I'm looking forward to it.

urstwile
06-08-2006, 04:58 AM
Never went there actually. I'd be sad if John's Pizza ever went away, just like I was sad when I found out that Mrs. Stahl's Knishes in Brooklyn...gone. :(

No frickin' way!!!!!!

It saddens me every time I come back to visit how many great places are going down to development, etc. I can't count how many places I've gone back to visit each trip back and...gone. Gippity, gippity gone. From one year to the next. It sucks.

Still looking forward to the trip though, and meeting you guys will be bonus.

Good Gawd, urstwile, you just don't stop!

I get off work at 6, come home, mow the lawn, grill up some burgers on my new, shiny 2005 Char-Broil (!), sit down for some Ghost Hunters, and wham-bam, you pass 500.

Congrats!!! Pacific Coasters show their stuff!

And JP, I like the little bistro table that came with yer pizza! I assume the mouse with the reservation didn't show? :p

And some nights I just have a bigger stretch of time than others. You'll miss me when I'm not posting while I'm on vacation end of next week. Maybe I'm making up for lost future time. :D

urstwile
06-08-2006, 05:33 AM
To Balou: pictures there will be, although I'm going to have to borrow a digital, just still on old school film here at home until we can afford to get a digicam.

JP: Yeah, the reflux thing sucks. Stack yourself up on a lot of pillows...that always helps me. >>>passing over a pepto-bismol tablet

I tried pillows stacked until my neck looks like Phyllis Diller's. And the worst part is, it doesn't hit until im well on my way to falling asleep, then it wakes me right up. It's awful. And I take prilosec already. It's definitely worse since this job too LOL ;)

I do know that feeling, it is sucky suck big time. Pillows usually help me, but you still have to wrassle with it for a bit. Gets worse as you get older, sorry to say. :(

How TF do you people stay rested? I get the usual 8 hours by going to bed at 10:30 and waking up at 6:30, and sometimes that isn't enough.

I get up around 5, eat breakfast, shower and shave, catch up on the news and most of the time I'm at work by 7. Take an Igloo with me consisting of an orange or apple, a Costco muffin, big glass of water and a 24oz pop. I work straight thru to usually 6, come home, do any honey-do's that Darci has for me, eat dinner and usually start noddin off around 9. I get about 6 hours of sleep a night. Weekends have to be gogogo because she sits inside most of the time and wants the weekend with me anywhee but in the house. So it's really a schedule I don't like and I don't want to have a early heart attack (!), but it's what I have to do now.

reuber1
06-08-2006, 01:52 PM
6 hours? I don't understand how you people do it. I have to have 8. I don't know, maybe I go just a little nuts during my workouts, but by the end of the day, I'm usually out the second I hit the bed.

JPnyc
06-08-2006, 01:54 PM
Man if I HAD to have 8, I'd be dead at least 15 yrs. by now. I NEVER get 8. I think last night I got maybe 4 and a half

rickself

Well, I'm outta here. Thunder and lightning moving in and it's only 7! I swear, there's been more nasty weather in these parts this spring than I've seen in 40 years!

Good thread urstwile. You should have 600 by the time this closes.

I wake up at 7:30am, and get to sleep between 11:00-11:30. I usually get about 8 hours of sleep, but I'm still tired during the day. I should prolly start drinking coffee like the rest of the world, but I can't stand the taste. I miss the days when I worked at home, went to bed at 2am, woke up whenever the hell I wanted.

Hmm, about the only time I get 8 hours is on the weekend, usually I average about 6-1/2 to 7 during the week, sometimes less. I'm a confirmed night owl working the day shift. Sucks, but I don't like working at night, so I'm screwed in the 8 hours a night department. 12:30 to 1:00 in the morning to bed is my average.

Thanks for coming to my post party everyone! Dang, I was so busy today at work I couldn't even finish off my own party!

Funny, neither do I! No but seriously, I really like it, it's very organized. Has there been negative feedback?

JPnyc
06-09-2006, 04:09 AM
Nah, not yet. In fact, not much feedback at all, for or against. I don't think users care that much how a forum is organized. I mean no matter how you stacked em, there aren't THAT many forums here that you couldn't learn where they were and remember em.

The new posts thing sometimes confuses me. I'll click it, read a few new posts, click back to it, and all of a sudden, even the ones I hadn't read yet are gone, and only one or two remain. So I tend to click on every thread and view the dates.
