I know the family values crowd will excuse just about any behaviour from their leaders but I can't believe even they can condone this.

No you're not, you think for yourself. You share a conservative value system, so do I. These people only value hate.

Open mouth, insert foot...
Does she honestly think these women feel like the money they've made in book deals is better than having their husbands back? Should they turn their lives into a circus, lose a lot of privacy and live under a microscope for FREE? It'd be one thing if their sole purpose was to cash in, but they seem to be bent on raising awareness and getting investigations going.

I saw that earlier. She is a psycho biznatch. For everytime she says something that insensitive, somebody gets to shove one of her books (hardcover) down her gaping mouth.
balou, it's the whole general public's "desire", if you will, for fair and balanced information. If we get views from WAY to the left, we have to get opposing ones from WAY to the right, and vice versa, and it doesn't matter if both sides are WAY wrong. I liked this article from the Beast, when people complained about that 50 most loathsome people in America list:

She's just one of those folks who has a cold, black heart. I know it's impossible to ignore something so ignorant but the mindless tend to fade away when they realize that no one is listening.
Throw gasoline on the fire and more people we see the flames. Let the fire die and people will move on.
That wisdom aside, Coulter is biznatch of unparalled magnitude and I'd be the first in line to pimp slap her.

This is why extremists from both sides really irk me. Whether you're a mindless Bush basher or Liberal Lyncher you just kind of piss me off.
The sad part is, someone will take her writings and poster that as what every conservative believes or someone would take Michael Moore's work and poster that as what every liberal believes which is very sad. I would hate to be defined by either person and though i have my opinions that lean left and right I refuse to call myself either.

People should stop trying to define other people by their own internal guage.
That still won't stop me from calling someone an idiot though. Especially in traffic. LOL!

She makes me want to hurl, but GMan, you're absolutely right, or should I say correct? If less people paid attention to her, made reference to her, interviewed her, had her on their shows just for shock value, less people would know who she was, and her whole attention-getting schtick would vanish.
Although part of me fantasizes about seeing the kind of mincemeat Stephen Colbert or Jon Stewart would make out of her if they had the lack of good sense to even bring her on their shows. I think she's too ridiculous even for them to stoop that low.

wow.. Rant or something?? Not sure what this is... ...........
People are strange.. (The Doors) one of my favorite all time songs...
I sometimes think inside I am still 8.
There are a lot of things I don't understand.. Maybe someone can explain them to me..
Why does it matter Republican or Democrate? Liberal or consertative? (Good speller or bad) Should'nt it be that whoever has "OUR" best interest in mind should be in charge?
Also is it possible that sometimes we don't understand what is in our best interest is until after the fact?
I find a lot of people that are on one side of a political opinion.. become very angry with the opposing opinion to a point of violence.. umm Why???
I believe in rational thinking and neogation.. Thats part of what makes our country the best there is albeight with loads of flaws.. Its the Checks and balances that help to keep each side in check and to resolve differences in a calm way.. What would happen to our country if we were impeaching presidents left and right.. etc.. Politicans.. seem mostly to have one thing in mind.. ummm Their pocket books or there egos..
Well enough said.. sorry for takin your time..

Coulter's political opinions are typically grounded in hatred for a broad amount of people based on their beliefs, that's why.

I'd say that actually her political opinions are typically grounded on whatever gets her the most amount of mainstream media attention. That Bill Maher was once her boyfriend makes me suspect his agenda as well, although I stopped watching Real Time a long time ago, as it felt like just another Shock Factor type of show.

06-15-2006, 02:46 AM
I don't watch Real Time only because we haven't had HBO now for about a couple months. I never really thought of Maher as a shock host; I don't think he's as bad as Coulter, anyway. Unlike her, he's funny. I'm glad HBO took him, especially after the "shocking" comment he made on his PI that cost him his job there.
I heard Maher was nailin' some girl that Usher, 50 Cent, and somebody else couldn't please. Just because two people with totally opposing political views (James Carville and his demon-wife, for example) have dated doesn't raise any red flags with me. She's gotten a lot worse since then, too.

Well, there are totally opposing viewpoints and then just shock value commentary. I'd put Coulter, and to a certain extent Maher, in the shock value category, which is why I despise Coulter and got bored with Maher, not to mention that I find his shtick a little disingenuous. Yes, Maher's funnier than Coulter, but he pretty much brings people on his current show and his previous one, Politically Incorrect, just to show he can be a bad boy, at least that's how it seems to me. It feels manipulative and doesn't really teach anyone anything. He's either preaching to the converted, or shocking the converted (as in when he has Coulter on his show). I'd put Maher right up there with Coulter, to a certain extent, because I think he uses his HBO forum just to potty mouth a lot, whereas he couldn't do that with Politically Incorrect as much.
We don't need more of that kind of crap, we need more actual discourse, outside of the yelling punditry that dominates anything like "discussion" about issues in this country. Unfortunately, usually those shows are on really late at night, so most people don't see 'em.

Okay, so this is after watching Leno with Coulter and George Carlin on in the same night. Carlin said NOT A WORD in response to that evil biznatch's words. What the %#(*@%&#(@*&%$?!!!!!!
I'm sorry, but that woman is getting too much airplay from the mainstream media, and yeah, I'm just falling victim to their "charms". But what the?!?!?!?!?!?
I feel so abused, and manipulated, and I frickin' wish I hadn't made a point of watching it, I'm an idiot, and seriously why did I think that Leno would let Carlin take her down. Rayburr, you did me a favor and a disservice, all in one post. Gack. I feel like I need a shower now.
here's a tip -- when coulter's on, change the channel. it's always a safe bet.
