(I stole my thread title from someone else)

OK, fool, let's get one thing straight right now. It's pronounced "Ray"+"Burr", not "Roober." My name has been butchered so many times I don't even know who I am anymore unless I remind myself with Post-it notes around my cubicle.

I'm a US member, living in eastern Iowa. The Mississippi river is literally less than 200 meters away from my house, and is a gorgeous view but, alas, this area is about as boring as a documentary on the chemical compostion of paint thinner. I'm a designer wanna-be two years out of college, working as a support tech for a software developer who occassionally designs gift cards (10% of the time), looking to break in the field as a designer. I'm updating my portfolio so hopefully someone looks at it without saying "Wow, what a piece of shit." Oh yeah, I can be loose lipped as well, so watch out.

My posts are pretty similar, essentially including parenthesis all the time for breaks in thought (like this, see?) because I'm a long winded MF'er that likes reading his own writing. Naturally, since I'm a red-head, I'm pretty quick to anger. Other red-heads may not have this problem, but I do. I've been getting better at that, so let me be. Also, I used to work at Target, pretty much 110% of current members know this, and I complained about it, a lot. I worked really hard there, but was taken advantage of pretty badly, especially during college. So if I make any references to it, well, now you know. I'm a left of center kind of guy, a "liberal" if you will, so that's where you can expect many of my political/social/moral beliefs to lie. Also a fan of vid games, comedic movies, and rock/electronic type music that typically isn't plagued on the radio.

I'm also the forum pervert, usually with my mind in the gutter. If you don't believe me then you better click this underlined text (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/showpost.php?p=248858&postcount=12) to see where my mind usually wanders.

Seriously, if you don't see the tongue in cheek in my posts, I'm really not that big of a raging dickhead (sorry; again, the language, and again, the parenthesis). I try to be good natured and fun and what have you, so lighten up will ya'? See, I like having fun and enjoy off-color, hilarious humor. I'm the kind of guy who's humor tastes include movies like Anchorman, 40 Year Old Virgin, Waiting, and Animal House to comedians like Bill Hicks, George Carlin, Louis Black, Bill Maher, Chris Rock, and Bill Murray. I like humor, just as long as it's funny; these do not include jokes told by morea.

you are hereby cited for gratuitous use of parenthesis, and lack of finding my jokes funny. :p

Reuber, you ought to change your title to "resident prevert".

Yes, I realize that is spelled wrong, but somehow the word 'prevert' is less frightening than the word 'pervert'. ;)

you gotta admit, Rayburr, there's been times I head over to the Prepressforums.com because your sense of humor (cough) reminds me of me when I was 21, like you. :D But I keep coming back for more.

You very well may be the coolest person on the forum...from Iowa!

I'm sorry, but everytime I see your name and read your posts I mentally say 'Roo-ber'. I know that's not how you pronounce it but I just seem to have a mental block. So in my world you will always be Roo-ber1. Sorry, my friend, it's has just gotta be that way.
