I'll introduce myself as well then
Chris here - originally from sunny Northumberland in the north east of England. Near Newcastle.
I studied drama at universtity and set up a Theatre comapny that specialised in Murder Mystrey weekends n hotels. Work started to dry up a wee bit, and creatively it was a dead end and I needed a change .
I decided to up sticks and moved to Barcelona. I taught English for a while and my best mate ran the IT dept at the school I worked at. He asked me if I wanted a job minding the internet room. I hated cmputers, had never really used oen except for games on my commodore 64 and hadn't even heard of email (this was 1997 so not that bad I guess). Took the job as I was bored of teaching and got lots of books, took lots of classes and found design!! Yippee - so I went to school in BArcelona part-time (I still know command in catalan better than I know them in English) and became the webmaster for the spanish group of schools, and there I was knee deep in nested tables and spacer gifs... ah! it was a simpler time :p
A few years down the track I met my beautiful wife there, and we moved to San Francisco 3 years ago.
I now run my own wee design shop freelance, mostly doing intranet work
