June 1-November 30th is the official season.
I can't imagine I won't be evacuating at least a few times this year. Evacuating is such a big pain. You gotta do it, though! It's so expensive, too! My parents and a bunch of other relatives got wiped out in Katrina. They were from St. Bernard Parish. Some of my relatives got washed out from their graves. Really freaky stuff.

What's particularly annoying about hurricane season is the media. Oh god, the fear-mongering media loves their natural disasters. Remember the 2004 Tsunami?
