Dont know which one to use? Here let me help you... Either one works.

BUT since you already have a PC, and I take it, you have the software already for the PC. Then buying a Mac right now, would cost you more than just the system, you would be paying for all your software... All over again.

I realize you're new so a friendly warning, if you're referring to pirated software, that's a verboten topic on the forum. If you got them legitimately by some other means (like your company bought them) then disregard this message. Thanks.

Welcome to the forums.

I'm going to get a lot of hate messages for this, but don't waste your money buying a Mac. It's not that they aren't great. I like them. But the benefits aren't numerous enough to justify the price tag and buying all new software. (bring on the hate). I can say this because I bought an iMac and worked on Macs at my last firm. They crashed just as much as PCs. In fact, my Dell Inspiron 9300 crashes less. I haven't had to zap my PRAM or run OS9 in the background to use older programs. And performance wise, the money you spend on a Mac can be spent on processors and video cards for a custom PC that runs laps around the latest G5s. Adobe software is Adobe software no matter what it runs on.

Oh wait...Apple has widgets that make ripples when you drop them. Nevermind. Go buy a Mac ASAP.

We don't debate mac or pc here. With proper maintenance, either works just as well. It isn't the tool, it's how you use it (and care for it).

Welcome to the forum.
