Anyone knows if there's any inkjet printer/cutter combos out there? When I googled this, all I get is very large format vinyl cutters that are used in shops. What I'm looking for is a regular small size inkjet printer that prints your typical 8.5x11 documents but can also digitally cut any shape you want so you can print graphics to put on t-shirts or make stickers with funky shapes. Is there a brand that produces this kind of product or a lone digital cutter that can cut graphics from color outputs?
Thanks
Tim

You aren't going to find anything that is much smaller than 15" wide (that's the smallest roll of vinyl you can buy without going custom slitting).

You can try looking for one of the smaller Edge machines

And they are NOT cheap. Consumables will kill you if you aren't doing this for profit.
You can't cut and apply things to t-shirts. (Well you can, but that is a different kind of machine altogether.)
You can't die cut paper on these
As for a "lone digital cutter", have you thought about how you are going to register your cut path to something printed on a different machine? Not saying it can't be done ...

So it sounds like there isn't really an affordable for home use machine that prints and die cuts to one's specifications? That is surprising to me that it's 2006 and there's no such thing. I wanted such a machine so I can mostly print graphics for tshirts and isolate just the graphics and not have to always iron down a whole block of something on a shirt.

They do make an in home cutting device to isolate the graphics for your iron-ons.
Scissors.
:D

I think it's great the sign industry hasn't fallen prey to the 'home use' crowd.
Sorry if I don't feel your pain.

Guy, once I found some type of printer or some type of device that crafts people use. I'm kinda cloudy on the exact details, but I think it was what your describing but very expensive.

somehow the only place this thing came up was on a scrapbooking/ruber stamping website.

I figure it would be expensive whatever it is.

Don't worry PrintDriver, I'm here to look for answers, not pity.
