Hihi everyone! My real name is Gary or you can just call me by my most common user name, Vyrsace. I'm not really a designer, though, I'd like to get into the scene and maybe 'enlighten' myself a bit more, hence I start myself HERE and NOW! :) I'm a big noobie with the terms and techniques, but I'm really technical and use alot of different tools (Adobe Photoshop CS2, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Draw Graphics Suite X3, etc.) and am a bit fluent (more so than the average computer user) with them, but as we all know it takes more skill than it does tools to make good design, in fact, some of the design is probably the simpilist (spelling? bah.). Anyways I hope you understand when you see some generic topics made by me within the forums asking the most basic of questions and with that understanding, I hope comes constructive feedback. I am a googler and a good researcher, but there are some times when I come to a complete halt with zero leads and hence, you... the people. Anyways my rant is done and I hope I get to know you all more better as time passes.

Welcome Vyrsace. This is a good place to learn. My only advice is to remember you can search the forum on keywords. I often find what I need even before posting the question. Glad you're here!

Welcome Gary.
MacFinn, I think Vyrsace also, is either Veir-sace ("eir" sounding like "ear") or Vy-er-say-ss

Ding Ding! The intention was for it to be a spoof of one of my favorite designers, Versace. I'm such a master of disguise, Ver into Vyr. Geeze.:D Thanks everyone for the open welcome. I'm still deciding on my first noobish looking thread, but I'm thinking carefully on what it should be, so until that great moment arrives I'll just keep saying hi. Hihi.

Hey Versace I just realized you are from Edmonton, I know by nature being a Calgarian I am bound to hate you but I will cut you some slack this once, and once only.
So what's the deal with Pronger? Was he stupping Tara McCool and his wife caught him? Or was that just a big story that they cooked up to get him out of town?

I'm not sure what was the deal with Pronger, but I know there was alot of hype around him. What I do know is that Pronger was one of the players who held the team together for the playoffs and was probably one of the main reasons they actually made it to the finals. Infact, during the final games he has no off ice time, he'd play from period 1 to period 3 the whole way through, whereas Geroge Leroc (spelling?) has zero ice time. The, obviously, knew Pronger was a little too good, so I'm not sure why they wanted to trade him because he was too damn good, so I'm sure it's safe to assume the hype is something third party rather than his skill.
As for Calgary lol, Well it's funny how if I go to Calgary people will be like "Oh.... you're from Edmonton............." but if Calgary people come to Edmonton, we don't even mention anything. Calgary people, by nature, are way more bitter/competitive against Edmonton people. It's 100% unsustainable jealousy I think because, after all, we are the "City of Champions" ;) But really, I think it's Calgarians who carry this fued on more than anything. Don't be hatin. lol

lol I lived in the GTA for a year and when I mentioned where I was from, people were so clueless so I eventually just started saying I was from Western Canada and people would atleast say "Oh...". lol Can't be more left out than that. ;)

Man that is tough MacFinn.... you hate yourself and are hated by the rest of the country too!
Just kidding ;) I have been out to TO twice and came home with my country bumpkin tail tucked between my legs.
I actually like Edmonton, lived there for a while and liked it quite nicely. I think the rivalry is a good natured thing that stems from the sports teams and probably does more harm than good.

Ofcourse, I haven't seen that rivalry ever extend more than just words and humor, but this is basically the cliche Calgarian who has moved to Edmonton.
"Well in Calgary it's like almost totally different because ___________"
"That reminds me of _____ street, it's probably the same size" (some miscellaneous location from Calgary used as a comparison)
"Here's pictures of me in Calgary with my friends doing _____" as opposed to "Here's me with my friends doing _____"
"Cool! I never used to do that before I moved."
etc.etc.
Everything from a cliche Calgarian is a back reference to what it's like or how great it is in Calgary lol Wah wah wah ;) lol *nudge*
