hi -- i don't suppose anyone knows of any free/ cheap software which we can use to track projects/ invoices/ money coming in?
we're a small design company so don't need anything fancy, although can't seem to find anything decent.
cheers

for invoices/money coming in I use Quickbooks Simple Start Edition - less than $100. I'm looking for a track project software also:)

Have you looked at download.com?
i'm not sure of any one in particular but on that site you can search through hundreds of applications that are either free or very inexpensive. You can also sort by popularity, user rating, amount of downloads etc...

I did a lot of research on PM stuff a few months ago. I found some interesting, great stuff (unfortunately, none of our management thought so).
Off the top of my noggin', I would highly recommend checking out:
-Basecamp (and a bunch of their products) -- very inexpensive, and flexible
-Tasks Pro (richly featured, low price-- not so pretty, but impressive reviews)
and for the Open Source freebie in mind: dotProject.
There's a lot of pricier ones too, but these seem to be the most affordable pro featured ones.

I did the demo on iBiz just to check it out. Seemed pretty decent. Not free but not expensive. I had Quicken already.
